Abstract Prizes

All accepted abstracts at the 27th World Meeting on Sexual Medicine will be considered for the following awards, each worth EUR 500:

  • Best Abstract Presentation – Male Sexual Dysfunction (Clinical)
  • Psychosexual, Gender, and Sexology
  • Female Sexual Dysfunction (Clinical)
  • Preclinical

These prizes recognize outstanding research and innovative approaches in sexual medicine.

Emil Tanagho Prize

The Tanagho Prize, named after urologist Dr. Emil Tanagho, awards USD 2,500 to the most innovative research abstract at the WMSM. Dr. Tanagho, former Chairman of Urology at UCSF, was a pioneer in neurourology, urodynamics, and bladder reconstruction and mentored many ISSM leaders. Proposed by Tom Lue after the ISSM meeting in San Francisco, the prize encourages continued scientific exploration and innovation in sexual dysfunction research and treatment.

All abstracts presented at the meeting will be published in a supplement of the Journal of Sexual Medicine.
